Curriculum

Adalberto Simeone is currently a PhD student at the IVU laboratory in the Computer Science Department of the University of Bari. He got the �Laurea Triennale� degree (BSc equivalent) in Computer Science at the University of Bari in March 2004 and the �Laurea Specialistica� degree (MSc) in Computer Science at the University of Bari in April 2006.
Before completing his MSc from November 2005 to April 2006 he was an exchange student at the Human Computer Interaction Laboratory at the University of Maryland (College Park (MD), USA) under the supervision of Dr. Catherine Plaisant and Prof. Ben Shneiderman. There, he worked on an innovative user interface that helped users in comparing different forecasts (Buono et al. 2007). Since 2008 he has been a PhD student at the IVU Laboratory of the Computer Science Department of the University of Bari.
His current research interests are in the Human-Computer Interaction field, particularly Information Visualization Usability, Information Visualization Techniques, Visual Analytics, Computer Graphics and 3D User Interfaces.
He attended several International Conferences to present his published works. One of his paper, received the VAST Challenge award at the IEEE VAST 2008 conference (Simeone and Buono 2008).
He speaks both English and French.
